Aleppo airport reopening

Syria celebrated the reopening of Aleppo’s international airport after one year of closing.
Syrian state television reported that a passenger flight today arrived from Damascus with media workers. A journalist from the government told reporters that an area perimeter of 5 kilometers around the airport is now secured from the freedom activists, making it possible to re-fly to and from Aleppo. This is good news for the government, but is seen as a great loss for the freedom activists and many governments around the world.
