Green laser hits aircraft

Last tuesday green laser beams that were thought powerful enough to blind a pilot targeted an aircraft which passed over the city of Hanmer Springs, New Zealand. An A-320 Air New Zealand flying from Auckland to Christchurch was flying at an altitude of about 26,000 feet was descending gradually when the pilot noticed the green light in the cockpit ,Hanmer Springs police said.
The light was strong enough to affect the pilot, who suffered from temporary blindness several times.
”Fortunately , they were at high altitude.”, the police said.
Police searched two camping areas under where the plane was hit by the laser, they found nothing.
