Skinny? Fly cheap!!!

For the small Pacific airline Samoa Air, the fare system based on passengers weight has been so succesful that it is upgrading its fleet. The 57.5 US cents per kilogram has been proven so popular the first twelwe months because it has meant cheaper fares for most passengers.
According to the World Health Organisation Samoa has one of the world’s highest rates of obesity, leading to soaring levels of weight-related coronary disease, diabetes and strokes in the Pacific island nation. The interest worldwide is growing. Larger airlines are now also considering similar schemes. There is massive discussion going on about how pay-by-weight can be transferred to larger airplanes.
