Malaysia Airlines suspends the route Kuala Lumpur-Los Angeles

In April Malaysia Airlines will suspend its connection between Kuala Lumpur and Los Angeles, but will strengthen its presence in the former Burma via a codeshare with Myanmar Airways.

The CEO of the national carrier of Malaysia Ahmad Jauhari Yahya said a statement 27 January 2014 that the service to the Los Angeles was ”no longer viable ” because among other things ”overcapacity resulting in lower performance and high operating cost of the Boeing 777-200ER”. The aircraft (35 seats in Business Class, 247 in Economy class) is deployed four times a week to Los Angeles.
